About North Fork Tree Service
North Fork Tree Service, named after the North Fork stretch of the Payette River, was founded in 2019 by Mitch Ruscin and his wife, Jesse. Mitch brings over 18 years of experience in urban forestry and tree care, having worked consistently in the industry since 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Forestry and Natural Resource Management from the University of Idaho in 2011. Mitch possesses extensive knowledge in urban forest management, arboriculture (the science of tree care), urban planning, habitat restoration, riverbed restoration, and the ecological benefits of trees in urban areas.
Before starting North Fork Tree Service in Boise, Mitch gained valuable experience as a licensed and certified ISA Arborist specializing in modern SRT (Single Rope Technique) and MRS (Multi Rope System) climbing techniques, as well as advanced rigging in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, known for its vast forests and tall trees.
Jesse, a native Idahoan, has lived in various parts of Idaho, including Twin Falls, Ketchum, and McCall, but considers Boise her home. She has over 20 years of experience in business management helping Idaho businesses grow and thrive in a constantly changing market before co-founding North Fork Tree Service.
Mitch and Jesse have two children, both born in Idaho, and they enjoy teaching their kids to be skilled tree climbers while instilling a love and respect for Idaho's forests and rivers. They are passionate about educating others and discussing tree care with anyone eager to learn more. They welcome the growth in Boise and the surrounding areas and love meeting new people. Their mission is to help others understand and care for their trees while fostering excitement and safety about the trees in their communities.
